Almost since Nickelodeon’s inception, we have been an ardent fan of all the shows. In Nick HD+, we love watching Dora, Spongebob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Penguins of Madagascar, the Emmy Award Winning Cartoon – Loud House and more.
The Casagrandes – An Introduction!
So, when Nick HD + launched a new fun-filled family fiesta called ‘The Casagrandes’, we got immediately glued to it. This new series ‘THE CASAGRANDES’ is a delightful spin off of the Loud House. It revolves around an 11-year-old free-spirited girl, Ronnie Anne, who along with her mother and brother-Bobby, moves to a big city to live with her Mexican-American extended family. What follows is a journey of adventures, excitement and much more as this skate-board loving girl Ronnie Anne mingles with the family.
The Casagrandes – My Review!
We love watching The Casagrandes, mainly because of two reasons, one – it perfectly encapsulates the essence of having a large family that the present nuclear system denies our children. The other reason is, the characters are a mix of different cultural values, speaking Spanglish(Spanish + English), each character having his/her own strengths and weaknesses, a mix of gender and generations.
I personally love, how subtly the series explains the concept of family and the principle of ‘Live & Let Live’. The children of the Casagrandes fill the houses with laughter, tiffs and a strong bond. We also see that every individual has a grand dream but since money is hard-earned through the ‘Mercado’, they often adjust their dreams to match the reality of their life.
This close knit family that consists of Abuelo & Abuela( Grandfather & Grandmother), Uncle & Aunty, cousins and pets squabble over the silliest things but are inseperable and love to be involved in every small matter of the house. They love spending time with each other and in this family, food is always in abundance.
The show is loud with so many slangs and if you want to learn few Spanish words, you can learn them here easily. This family is here to stay, to give you the best of your time and to let you cherish the perks of having a large family.

I had seen my kids watching this show few days back and they were really enjoying it. Yes the casagrandes are loud and super fun to watch.
I have my neices but they are not into toon shows as they are grown up now but I still love them. This review 4.9/5 means it is really going to be great for me when I watch it. Plus, I think I got something to watch which is really good. I’ll watch it soon.

These cartoons about family is much better than some of the stuff they show that include dating, boyfriends, etc. Will check this one out.

I am sure my 9 year old daughter is going to love this show. I will check this out. She loves Spanish and also loved Dora a lot when she was baby.
Ronnie seems to have lot of adventurous stories along for all of us. Shall check the series as my kids are fan of adventurous brave girl.
